About

I earned my Masters Degree in Family Systems Counseling from The Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University. My life experiences as a parent, business professional, partner in a long-term marriage, ex-wife, and active community member influence my therapeutic practice.

Other interests include meditation, spirituality and religion, writing and journaling, and the mind/body connection. I have a love of the outdoors and enjoy time out and about in the northwest with family and friends.

In The Community

I am member and past president of the Seattle Counselor’s Association (SCA). I am also a member of The Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study (The Alliance). My affiliation with SCA and The Alliance keeps me connected with the local counseling community and up to date on resources and trends in the field of counseling.

I recently ended a 6 year term as part-time child therapist at Jumping Mouse Children’s Center while maintaining my private practice in Kirkland. While at Jumping Mouse, I enjoyed the opportunity to work with children and parents in a non-profit setting where my responsibilities included the supervision of counseling interns, teaching parenting workshops and individual play therapy with children. I now work full time in private practice but bring to my work the rich learning gained at Jumping Mouse Children’s Center.
